Dare To Dream. Play To Win

In today’s world of pro sports, athletes are paid well but they also work hard. Many athletes dream about making it in the big leagues, but this can be a very dangerous thing. If you dare to dream about this, you better be prepared for what’s in store for you if you make it.

Life on the inside of professional sports is not as glamorous as many people make it out to be. You have to be willing and able to play to win. This doesn’t just mean winning every game. It means winning at life in general. You have to know how to handle yourself so you don’t become exploited by the media and left as a lifeless puddle on the bleachers when it’s all over.

“Dare to Dream, Play to Win” is a concept that talks about the importance of the dream and how to play so you win on all accounts. Take into consideration your education so you have the tools needed to make it past professional sports. Without a solid education behind you, it will be impossible to play to win in every aspect of your life.

Professional sports only last so long. It can be a thrilling ride while you’re able to maintain it, but what happens when an injury takes you down? What happens when you simply become too old to play on the team? You need a backup plan, otherwise you will be another washed up athlete that doesn’t get the respect you deserve. This isn’t what you want for yourself.

You can dare to dream, but you have to know what you’re dreaming of. The screaming fans and the bright stadium lights are one thing. You shouldn’t want to play just for the fame and the fortune. You should want to play for the love of the game. It’s the love of the game that will drive you forward and make you into a better player. Become a role model for those around you. Younger athletes will look up to you and that’s where you have the ability to influence others’ dreams.

You can play to win, but that means you really have to play to win. You have to give it your all within every game. When you’re not on the court or on the field, you still have to play to win. Coach kids to show them how an education can make a difference. Work with the community to make a difference.

If you’re going to dream big, you have to use your mind as well as your athletic talents. You can play to win so you win on every front. It’s a money hungry industry but you can move past that and set an example for those all around you.
